What does the US Constitution mean to me?

A constitution is a document that shows the structure or makeup of how a government will be run. The U.S constitution is made up of 470 articles. It has been around for almost 234 years.

I think that the constitution is good because it gives everyone the right to have guns, we have freedom of speech, the right to have a trial in court. Throughout the 234 years the constitution has been changed so that everyone will have equal rights. Without these amendments the U.S wouldn’t be the way it is today.

Without the constitution we probably wouldn’t be able to play sports and have some of the other freedoms we enjoy. Most kids don’t think about that without the freedoms we have, we probably wouldn’t be able to go to football games or hangout with friends after school and over the weekends.

Without the right to have guns we wouldn’t be able to hunt and shoot targets. Hunting is a popular sport and without it the animal population would get out of control. Also people wouldn’t get the chance to sit in the woods quietly and not moving and waiting for the perfect animal to come into range.

In conclusion, the constitution is what makes America great. Without it the U.S wouldn’t be the fun and enjoyable place it is today. It is what our country is built off of and what it stands for.
