What does the US Constitution mean to me?

The US Constitution for me means what we have the right to do and what not. The first
amendment gives us and me the right to speak my mind on this essay. It gives us the right to say what we want in school papers and to protest against things that may happen in our school. I feel that the first amendment gives us the right to live and speak our mind where others may not agree.

The second amendment gives us the right to bear arms. For kids in Montana the right to
have arms in our possession is a big help. For us we hunt our own food and game that will last us a couple months. The right to bear arms also protects us from those who may see the need to hurt us in any way possible. For us tho we have to respect the laws that do state no arms at school which do help keep us and others safe

The reason I'm skipping the 3 amendment is because it cannot really apply and affect me in
my everyday life. It’s because I don't own a house but do live in one which I think and hope our guardians will keep safe for us.

The 4 amendment bars the government for seizing and searching one's belongings. For me
and others this means that we cannot be searched without a warrant for something we did. The 4 amendment does not apply in school because the school has to check that we are safe at all times or we may jeopardize our school, teacher, students and others who may be there. We are also jeopardizing ourselves along with others.

The amendments after the fifth are bigger and mean little to us who cannot be affected by
them as much as adults. It is likely that some kid our age or older may be affected by the laws but very unlikely to happen in Montana where there's not much to get into trouble with. The laws after that deal with being in court,Jury trials, prison sentences, the right to vote and other things like that.

We the people of the United States, in order to for a more perfect union, establish
justice, insure domestic tranquility, provide for the common defense, promote the general
welfare, and secure the blessings of liberty to ourselves and posterity, do ordain and establish this constitution for the United States of America. For kids in Montana and to me this means that as we grow older we can look into helping form a better nation, with more justice for those who deserve it, tranquility and defense, with the general welfare of the people and liberty unto ourselves.
